- Second largest life insurer in Germany stays at 4.20 percent
AachenMünchener profit bonus for 2010 remains stable. The current yield of the second largest German life insurer will be – as in 2009 – 4.20 percent.
“In this time of financial crisis we can still offer our customers a very sound stability,” said Michael Westkamp, Chief Executive Officer of AachenMünchener.
An additional final bonus of approx. 0.6 percent comes on top of the 4.20 percent, so that the customers' savings part of the premium will bring 4.8 percent interest. Depending on how the financial markets develop, interest from the valuation reserves may also be paid when the pension payment starts. The average interest from valuation reserves for the AachenMünchener policyholders was around 0.1 percent in the last few months.
