AachenMünchener among top companies regarding customer orientation in Germany

Regarding customer orientation AachenMünchener is among the best companies in Germany. In the 2007 competition for "Germany's most customer oriented service provider", AachenMünchener ranks third among the insurance companies taking part in the competition. Among the 50 best companies AachenMünchener is number 12. The property and casualty insurer received a special award for quality in customer service.

"These distinctions are another proof of the top quality of our customer service. It pays that we concentrate on first-class service and excellent products. Our customers directly benefit from this", said Michael Westkamp, Chief Executive of AachenMünchener. In addition to this very good current ranking, AachenMünchener also obtained, for the second consecutive time, a quality mark from TÜV Rhineland, the technical inspection agency. In 2006 the inspection also covered the certification of AachenMünchener's claims handling. Besides, AachenMünchener regularly obtains distinctions for its products, such as its occupational disability cover or its Riester product.

The competition for "Germany's most customer oriented service provider" is organized jointly by the St. Gallen University, the management and IT consultant Steria Mummert, the rating company ServiceRating and the renowned business newspaper Handelsblatt.

In a comprehensive examination process the jury assesses seven criteria, such as customer orientation, competency and communication. The replies to a management questionnaire are followed by a survey among the customers of the participating companies. Finally the best participants – among them AachenMünchener – also have to submit their company to a comprehensive audit.
