Cooperation Agreements

The close and extraordinarily successful partnership of meanwhile more than 30 years with Deutsche Vermögensberatung in Frankfurt is of particular strategic importance for the Generali Deutschland Group.

Deutsche Vermögensberatung contributes substantially to the strong growth of the Generali Deutschland Group. The outstanding success of Deutsche Vermögensberatung, one of the leading autonomous sales organizations for financial-services, is based on well-trained financial advisors with strong selling capacities. The premium volume generated by Deutsche Vermögensberatung for the Generali Deutschland Group has meanwhile exceeded the level of EUR 5.5 bn. Deutsche Vermögensberatung's high advising competency in distribution becomes particularly evident in the field of corporate and private pension business. Deutsche Vermögensberatung thus makes a material contribution to Generali Deutschland's positive new business development in corporate pensions. In addition, it is the market leader in the so-called "Riester pension business", i.e. private old-age pensions with a state incentive.

In November 2006, AachenMünchener and Deutsche Vermögensberatung decided to expand their exclusive partnership. AachenMünchener concentrates on product development and service. Deutsche Vermögensberatung assumes the sole distribution competency for the products of AachenMünchener. In June 2008 it was agreed to intensify the partnership with the building society Deutsche Bausparkasse Badenia with the target of integrating the traditional sales network of Badenia into the sales organization of Deutsche Vermögensberatung.

Two factors illustrate the substance of this successful cooperation. On the one hand it is a persistently creative element in the development of new and performance-oriented products for customers and the early launch of these products in the market. The millions of customer contacts of the financial advisors of Deutsche Vermögensberatung make it possible to recognize new tendencies at an early date and to respond fast.

The other decisive feature is the enormous distribution strength of Deutsche Vermögensberatung which, in turn, is the basis for the outstanding business success of the product partners in the Generali Deutschland Group.

The Generali Deutschland Group and Commerzbank AG have a mutual sales cooperation. The traditional sales networks of Deutsche Bausparkasse Badenia, Central Krankenversicherung AG and Generali Versicherungen act as intermediaries for the bank products of Commerzbank. They offer their customers one-stop shopping for all financial-service products and propose attractive problem solutions for all insurance and financial-service issues within the scope of targeted advice given to customers in line with their requirements. The focus of the cooperation is on real-estate financing.

On the other hand, Commerzbank sells insurance products for Generali Versicherungen, Advocard Rechtsschutzversicherung and Central Krankenversicherung as well as building-society products for Deutsche Bausparkasse Badenia.

Due to the takeover of Dresdner Bank by Commerzbank the cooperation will expire, as scheduled, in the course of the year 2010.
