Generali Versicherungen

Following the merger with Volksfürsorge as of 1 January 2009, and with a premium income of more than EUR 5 bn, the Munich-based Generali Versicherungen is the largest multi-line insurer in the Generali Deutschland Group. With their financial strength and high performance, Generali Versicherungen guarantee up-to-date insurance coverage for small and medium enterprises, and also for private customers throughout all stages in life. They enjoy an excellent reputation in the high-capacity company pension sector – also with large corporate clients – and are regarded as particularly innovative when it comes to private provision plans for old-age. Their multi-channel sales organisation, which includes Generali salaried staff, the distribution company Volksfürsorge Vertriebsgesellschaft, and sales via brokers and banks, is an essential element in the third pillar of the sales channel strategy of the Generali Deutschland Group.

Generali Versicherungen looks after more than 6 million customers through its network of self-employed agents (art. 84 of the German Commercial Code) - which is the biggest within the Group and comprises more than 2,400 exclusive agencies and specialists -, about 4,000 sales staff and exclusive agencies in Volksfürsorge Vertriebsgesellschaft, a broad network of brokers as well as sales organizations, banks and specialized field staff networks for women and the 50plus generation.
